Position Summary:

The Lead warehouse person is a working supervisor, directing work activities of warehouse staff, including inventory control coordinator and quality control associates, and managing critical to quality areas of the work process. Under minimal supervision, follows written work orders in the loading and/or unloading of product to/from the trucks. Oversees multiple OE programs and insures all policies and procedures are followed according to defined guidelines. Coordinates inventory control, and consolidates the product flow within the warehouse to ensure product is placed in the proper zone/bin. Assigns work crew in the storage and movement of received inventory.  Direct and perform the movement of product.  Trains entry-level Warehouse Associates and has the discretion to revise schedules, deliveries, and assignments of equipment.


Minimum Qualifications:

Five (5) years of experience in a warehouse/distribution environment. A High School diploma or equivalent.  Must be forklift certified and able to operate material handling equipment, i.e., forklift, sit down and stand up.  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.  Be able to read, write and speak English, with basic mathematical skills.  Must have the ability to reason logically, use common sense, and resolve issues independently.
