Position Summary: Responsible for all aspects of daily operations for the respective Distribution Center; plans, directs and coordinates the distribution of Falken Tire Corporation product parts and accessories.  Responsible, either directly or indirectly for the direction and coordination of all facility warehousing/storeroom activities, including receiving, storage and movement of all product.  Including but not limited to:  Warehouse Distribution, Receiving Management, OSHA Compliance, Asset  Management, Physical Inventory, Inventory Management, Budget Administration, Manage Picking/Loading, Warehouse Maintenance, Department Leadership, Shipping Management, Safety, Trucking Programs, Building Aesthetics. 

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of Ten (10) years experience, seven (7) of which in a in a distribution center/manufacturing environment (preferably in the tire or automotive industry), and three (3) years as a supervisor/manager in a warehouse environment. Must have demonstrable skills in working in a fast- paced environment.  An Associate's Degree in Business Management or Operations Management.  Bachelor's Degree highly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.  Must have Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel and Outlook), and SAP.  Bi-lingual English/Spanish and Military service experience is preferred and must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Must be detail oriented and have demonstrable skills in handling multiple assignments.  Experience with Oracle ERP or similar WMS software, and TMS, RF/RFID hardware systems is a plus.  Experience with ISO documentation standards and/or general process flow documentation is preferred.  Experience implementing Six Sigma, TQC, Kaizen, lean operating processes, or statistical process controls is a plus.  Individuals with Military experence are encouraged to apply.

The DC Manager reports to the Vice President, Operations.  The DC Manager will be responsible for all aspects of daily operations for our Southewest Regional DC located in Jacksonville, FL.  The DC Manager and direct staff have joint responsibility for:

  • Managing daily operations
  • Hiring, staffing, and training warehouse staff and drivers
  • Managing transportation spend, carrier selection, and freight rate negotiation
  • Managing quality standards inside the four walls
  • Achieving productivity, sales, and service targets
  • Managing a full P&L
  • Maintaining a safe work environment
  • Building on our culture of respect, professionalism, integrity, and an overall great place to work
  • Protecting company assets/insuring compliance with company policies in all activities
  • The typical hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8am-6pm.  Some Saturdays as needed based on business volume.  During peak periods those hours are subject to change.     


  • Prior experience working in a supervisory or management role in a distribution center/manufacturing environment or other operations role
  • Transportation management is a plus
  • Bi-lingual Spanish/English speaking is preferred
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours if needed
  • Bachelors degree in related field is preferred
  • Military service experience welcome
  • Experience with Oracle ERP or similar WMS software is desirable
  • Experience implementing Six Sigma, TQC, Kaizen, lean operating processes, or statistical process controls is a plus
  • Experience with TMS software,  RF/RFID software / hardware systems is a plus
