Position Summary:

An experienced quality engineer with OE tire industry experience. The OE Quality Engineer will be assisting the VP as the primary quality resources for the interfacing with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) account managers and the OEM product teams. The OE Quality Engineer promotes a customer- focused business environment throughout the company by acting as the primary quality liaison and "voice of the customer" for quality related topics that drive the achievement of customer expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the automotive industry and/or experience working with OEM's. Must have demonstrated capabilities using quality systems and data management, experience with OEM business development, and experience and familiarity of tire products and line of business is a plus. Must have a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in an Engineering field, or in Computer Science or related technical field is strongly preferred. Federal safety regulations and other tire industry norms; international industry quality standards verification systems; and project planning and execution methodology. Must be highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), as well as any database applications used for reporting. Must be detail oriented and self-motivated, have excellent problem analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with department and other SRNA personnel to meet corporate goals. Must have strong personal discipline, leadership, management, communication, negotiation, and excellent interpersonal skills. Must clearly and professionally represent the company in all dealings with end users, dealers, tire industry groups, and others. Must be able to travel up to 40% (Domestic and International) and will need a valid passport for potential travel outside of the United States. Must be able to stand, sit, move, bend down, crawl under vehicles, and use various vehicle service equipment and inspection tools. May require walking primarily on a level surface, reaching above shoulder heights and below the waist, as well as lifting up to 100 or more pounds. May periodically use tire mounting and balancing machines in a shop environment and lift heavier tire/wheel assemblies for testing and application activities. Some administrative and reporting preparation work location is typical of an office environment where the air is controlled and kept at mild temperatures. Routinely, field test and visitation require exposure to outside environments may be experienced at truck fleet and exterior test sites, at extreme temperature/weather ranges and loud noise.
