POSITION SUMMARY: Under broad direction from the Human Resources Manager, is responsible for the administration of all phases of Human Resources in a multi-state operation. Functional HR responsibilities include the administration of Human Resources Department competency programs, policies, procedures and programs such as Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, Recruitment, Performance Management, Organizational Development, LaborLaws/Regulations and Safety, State and Federal Labor Laws/Regulations and Safety.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of five (5) years human resources generalist experience (preferably multi-state). A commendable understanding of organizational development programs, modern compensation and benefits administration, recruitment and retention experience, and knowledge of related federal and state labor/employment and wage/salary laws.
Must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Business Administration, Business Management, Human Resources or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, such as PHR or SPHR certified. Additional completion of profession-specific training (workshops/seminars) in related HR fields.
Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), as well as any HRIS system. Working knowledge of Federal and State occupational safety and health regulations, including ANSI and OSHA regulations. Effective interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. Must be detailed oriented and self-motivated; have strong communication, interpersonal skills and excellent knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Association with HR organizations such as SHRM, NHRA or PHIRA preferred.
